Incredibly, FoodExpo-Online has opened it doors to visitors and some of the initial feedback is heartwarming!
- Sinosweet has had some interest from Germany and the US,
- Armfield has had all the usual suspects and Chemical Distributors downloading their data.
- BioReal visits have again had the usual suspects but also a Norwegian player showing considerable interest.
- Isegen's most interesting visitor is from the Persian Gulf.
The Food Standard's Agency are now using FoodExpo-Online to announce the developments and initiatives and it's proving to be a wealth of information, especially if businesses want to trade in Europe.
There are other initiatives planned over the next few weeks, so if you are interested in:
- Check your salt intake by iphone
- Food hygiene messages for children
- Secondment opportunity for qualified environmental health practioners on high profile UK project
- UK-wide survey looking for the chemical perfluoroctane sulphonate (PFOS)
- Vitamins and minerals adds to foods which are not currently listed in (EC) 1925/should submit an application to the EC
- EC regulation 178/2002 on food imports: animal vegetable cereal herb spice or juices
Then, visit register and gather as much information as you want. Leave and return when you need more information.
